The purpose of The MAD CAP(Music Art and Drama Center for Artistic Passions.) is to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to express themselves artistically. Classes will be offered for children as young as 6 months old all the way up through adults. Classes will include movement, music, visual art, and drama. Many of the classes for youth will be continuous throughout the year and offered at various times and on various days. Specialized classes will be offered from time to time for all age groups.
The objective of The MAD CAP is to provide everyone with an opportunity to learn a new form of artistic expression or to simply join and share with others in common talents. The MAD CAP is interested in what the community wants and needs. With many schools cutting funding of the ARTS, MAD CAP is here to take those artistic cuttings and create the most beautiful art imaginable.
The MAD CAP is owned and operated by Amy K. and Jim Stoner. Amy is a licensed music educator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Development, both from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Amy and Jim are involved in musical and dramatic groups in the Knox County area. Amy and Jim are residents of Knox County and are extremely passionate about keeping the Arts alive in the area. All instructors are highly qualified to share their gifts with the students. Many of them hold degrees in either the Arts and/or Education. |
